Danehy Park is a large public park located in the city of Cambridge. It features a lot of amenities for residents and visitors alike, including athletic fields, playgrounds, walking trails, and picnic areas.

The park stands on the site of a former landfill that closed down in the 1970s. The city of Cambridge then transformed the land into a green space in the 90s in an effort to create more open spaces in the city. The parked is named to honor former Cambridge Mayor Francis H. Danehy, who was a strong advocate for public parks and recreational areas.
The park covers approximately 50 acres of open space. It features a variety of outdoor activities and amenities for visitors of all ages. The community park is quite popular for walking, jogging, and biking as it offers several miles of paved pathways and trails. Moreover, it has a large, grassy field that is used for sports like soccer, baseball, and ultimate frisbee.
There is a large playground area for children, as well as a spray park for hot summer days. The park also has picnic areas with tables and grills. All these make it a popular spot for family gatherings and outdoor events.
Danehy Park is also known for its stunning views of the Boston skyline. Residents and visitors can enjoy the vistas from several locations within the park. The park is easily accessible from the T and is open year-round, offering visitors a beautiful outdoor space in the heart of Cambridge.
