There is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America
Housing is hard, but it’s encouraging to see zoning making a u-turn and momentum growing for livable cities.
Harvard Book Store is hosting
Brian Goldstone and There Is No Place for Us
Brian Goldstone stands out for his poignant exploration of a pressing societal issue. In There Is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America, Goldstone offers a narrative that follows five Atlanta families striving to maintain stable housing amidst economic challenges. His work brings to light the often-overlooked plight of the “working homeless”—individuals who, despite full-time employment, struggle to find a place to call home.
Goldstone’s background as a journalist and anthropologist enriches his storytelling, providing both analytical depth and empathetic insight into the lives of those he profiles.
“Enjoy” would be an odd word to put on stories like these, but I so appreciate the stories of the real experiences and feelings of real people.
I look forward to grabbing the book and hearing what Brian has to say.
