Cambridging Questions?

ABOUT

Finding Cambridge

I moved to Cambridge the first time for school.  And I didn’t understand Cambridge at all.

It was a confusing world and I left to find my destiny.

After a few years working in industry, going to grad school, looking around, and soul-searching….I realized Cambridge is where it’s at for me.

Inside, my ambitions and comfort zone have always been Cambridge.

So, I moved back to Cambridge to live my Cambridging life, then moved to Arlington (ArlingBridge) to move my life forward, but not leave my Cambridge core-being.

#itscomplicated

And it’s complicated for my friends, colleagues, and clients, too.  What I have realized over the years is that we face many of the same internal struggles and struggles with where to live.

I have met people who faced the exact same dilemma decades before I was born.  And the script is the same today.

Happiness and zen aren’t going to work in Cambridge, or for our Cambridge lives, without cracking the code for where to live (and how to afford it).

ABOUT

Stephanie Ford

What is Cambriding for me now?

I live, teach, and work with a very Cambridge-forward mission.

I see myself as living in Boston when I tell the world, in Cambridge when I tell anyone locally, and in Arlington if anyone really asks how I make it all work.

When I was younger, I explored “going out into the world to be like a missionary”, but realized that my own mission is to be what I want to see in the world, right where I am.  I live that life and share it as a beacon/guidepost to support others.

My Cambridging manifesto:

  • I encourage smart voices, smart businesses, smart products, and smart people.
  • There are all kinds of smart.
  • I am passionate about small businesses whether they are startups or small/smallish forever.
  • Some people will impact the world millions or billions of people at a time.  I impact my world one person at a time.
  • The only way that I can live here, and also the only way many people can live here, is to purposefully plan our real estate path.

I teach many things: Networking, LinkedIn, career growth, sales, and algebra, on occasion.

With my real estate clients I teach them to think about their life goals and model and plan their real estate journey to support those goals, and not to prevent them from achieving them.
